Sara Sheffield works in oil and watercolor mediums. She enjoys painting many subjects, and especially enjoys seascapes.  She also makes delightful driftwood creations.

Dabbling Duo

Dabbling Duo Handcrafts Myrna & Ivan Walsh began business in the year 2000 as a hobby. They started by going to flea markets and Christmas craft sales around the area. Having some success at this, they were motivated to try larger shows and to form the Dabbling Duo Handcrafts. They chose the name because of the many different crafts they make: Christmas ornaments, woodworking, children's toys, tole painting, crochet and hand-knitted items, stuffed toys and various other items.

Tara Hunt

Tara Hunt lives in Port Dufferin, NS, and she is a self-taught artist whose work draws on, and celebrates, many elements of her mixed English, French and Mohawk background. From her native roots comes a love of beading, of natural beauty, and of working with natural materials. She combines these with a European aesthetic, a sometimes quirky sense of whimsy, and a love of spiritual expression, to create works that some have called archetypically Canadian. She works in several media, including photography, sculpture, digital art, painting, leathercraft, and jewellery-making. She and her husband, Keith Spears, market their wares under the business name of Lily Pond Designs.

Connie Publicover

Connie Publicover , Snapdragon, has had 5 of her photographs, selected by Kodak as Picture of the Day to display  in New York Times Square.
Sea Shell Drop on July 10, 2008
The Great Speckled Drop on March 25, 2009
Water Dance on May 31, 2009
Water World on April 29, 2010
Nursery Drop on May 13, 2010

Connie's water drop photography is a labour of love.

"I love capturing a moment in time that is so pure and present but usually never seen with the naked eye.  The beauty of these small worlds always amaze me, as they are ever changing and always a challenge to capture.  All of my water drops are done in camera using a macro lens and extension tubes and focusing rails and off camera speed light.  My images are not superimposed in Photo shop. What you see in the water drop is a refraction from the background, i am using the drop as a lens.  I also use refelction from the background to give the water colour in some of my images."

Connie Publicover is a retired hairdresser who was born in Nova Scotia and lives on the Eastern Shore.

Ruth Wilson

Ruth Wilson is inspired by nature, everyday life and of course, her imagination.  Her passion for crafts would be divided in several areas. Stained glass is one of her great passions, preferring 3-dimensional projects. In beading, she leans towards culturally inspired themes. "Off the Wall" is how she describes her driftwood wind chimes.

Kris Wood

Kris Wood and Pat Wilson have been writing for many years. After producing technical manuals and articles they now specialize in humour. They are best-known locally for their "tongue-in-cheek" books on Frenchy's shopping, and other East Coast amusements such as "The Bingo", and "Lobster Suppers".  As well as specializing in humor, these talented women also specialize in quirky, unique hand crafted items.
